LÉGAL HOT SAUCE
The Problem: The founders of NYC experiential agency Factory 360 needed to launch Brazil’s first high-end hot sauce into the highly competitive U.S. specialty food market. While the name and core logo were already established, the brand lacked a cohesive lifestyle narrative, physical presence, and retail strategy required to stand out on crowded gourmet shelves and secure large-scale retail distribution.
The Strategic Insight: Entering the U.S. hot sauce market requires more than just heat—it demands a distinct cultural identity and a lifestyle brand experience. To elevate Légal beyond a niche regional product, the strategy focused on building an engaging, Brazilian-inspired lifestyle brand. By translating the product’s authentic heritage into bold visual storytelling, interactive trade show footprints, and an approachable character mascot, we transformed a specialty condiment into an accessible, high-energy gourmet brand.
The Execution:
Creative & Brand Management: Oversee complete visual strategy across sales, marketing, and production touchpoints to define the brand’s consumer-facing lifestyle identity.
Packaging & Merchandise: Redesigned secondary packaging, collateral, and branded apparel line to drive consumer recognition beyond the bottle.
Mascot & Character Design: Created a custom brand mascot to add personality, humanize marketing campaigns, and increase point-of-sale engagement.
Experiential & Trade Shows: Designed immersive physical trade show footprints and pop-up activations that brought Brazil’s vibrant culture directly to U.S. buyers.
Social & Content Strategy: Developed organic and paid digital collateral, video assets, and social campaigns to build brand advocacy.
The Result: Successfully built brand affinity and scaled national footprint by securing key distribution partnerships with KeHE. Directly pitched and won placement in gourmet cooking sections nationwide at TJ Maxx and expanded regional grocery presence across H-E-B stores in Texas.
